RESPONSE POST 1
Multidimensional Reflection
- Identify multidimensional nursing care strategies for clients with reproductive system disorders.
I achieved this first competency by going for my scheduled classes and doing my personal study at home and in the library. I gained an enhanced knowledge and expertise about providing the best care with patients who have reproductive system disorders (Haugan et al., 2013). First, one should provide a calm and quiet environment to discuss the patient’s issues. The nurse should offer emotional support needed for the patient to gain trust. It also vital to instruct about the reproductive disorder diagnosed and possible interventions available to treat the disease.
2.Determine appropriate multidimensional nursing interventions for clients with disorders of the urinary system.
The second competency was gained by enquiring more from the lecturer about the best interventions for patients with disorders of the urinary system (Haugan et al., 2013). I got the opportunity to learn about the importance of monitoring the fluid intake and output of the patient to note any improvements on the interventions applied. At the same time, it is vital to constantly monitor the vital signs, asses for pain and give medications as ordered.
3.Apply strategies for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice when providing care for clients with upper respiratory disorders.
I gained this competency my attending classes and doing more research from the library. I grasped that the upper respiratory disorders require close monitoring to help the patient with the breathing process. The nurse should put the patient in intravenous hydration and monitor vital signs closely (Haugan et al., 2013). Teach the patient simple breathing exercise and positioning when sleeping and sitting to maintain an open airway.
4.Compare strategies for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice when providing care for clients with lower respiratory disorders.
I gained this competency by attending lectures, reading class notes, and attending weekly group discussion help on different online platforms (Rondón García & Ramírez Navarrro, 2018). It is vital to maintain an open airway, auscultate for lung sounds, and monitor for breathing pattern. It is vital to instruct on high level of hygiene, keeping the environment clean and free from possible allergens. Also, the nurse should administer the medication ordered and instruct the patient on medical adherence.
5.Prioritize nursing care strategies for clients with cardiovascular disorders.
I gained this competency by visiting different websites that offered me a chance to participate in simulation exercises for patients with cardiovascular disorders (Rondón García & Ramírez Navarrro, 2018). It is important to monitor for chest pain, Orthopnea, crackles, JVD, liver engorgement, edema, and Diminished peripheral pulses. These symptoms can indicate a deteriorating heart disorder and possible heart failure. One skill gained is that it is vital to note changes in sensorium: lethargy, confusion, disorientation, anxiety, and depression. These signs shows hypoxia of the brain and the patient go into a coma.
6.Integrate multidimensional nursing interventions when caring for clients with hematological disorders.
I gained this concept by participating in class discussion about hematological disorders. Among these disorders are sickle cell diseases, anemia, polycythemia Vera, leukemia, and malignant lymphomas among others. Nurses should carry out nursing interventions to include monitoring vital signs, physiologic systems, and diagnostic study results. It is also vital to monitor intake and output as well as monitoring daily weight (Rondón García & Ramírez Navarrro, 2018). One specific knowledge gained is the need to provide awareness about the risk factors of the diseases to promote health seeking behavior, early screening, diagnosis, and treatment of the same.

RESPONSE POST 2.
Identify multidimensional nursing care strategies for clients with reproductive system disorders.
1. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths in the uterus that can develop during a woman's childbearing years. Risk factors include a family history of fibroids, obesity, or early onset of puberty, and symptoms include heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged periods, and pelvic pain.
Treatments include medications and removal of the fibroid. As a nurse, the goal is to educate the patient on surgery benefits, risks, life changes, and pain management.
I will listen to concerns, fears, and perceptions of self-related to anticipated changes and her specific lifestyle. I will provide accurate information, reinforce information previously given and create an open environment for the patient to discuss concerns about sexuality and conception (M.Vera,2019).
2. Determine appropriate multidimensional nursing interventions for clients with urinary system disorders.
Pathogenic microorganisms cause urinary tract infections (UTI) in the urinary tract, including the kidney, bladder, and urethra. Most UTIs caused by the bacterium Escherichia coli (E. coli) is in the digestive system. The focus for a nursing care plan for urinary tract infections includes interventions to relieve pain and discomfort, increase the client's knowledge about the preventive measures, treatment regimen, and potential complications to report to the PCP (M.Vera,2019).
3. Apply safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice strategies when providing care for clients with upper respiratory disorders.
Epiglottitis is an acute inflammation of the epiglottis and surrounding laryngeal. Due to the risk of respiratory obstruction, it is an emergency.
As a nurse, it is essential to maintain the patient's airway by making sure no examination of the oropharynx gets initiated until emergency equipment and personnel are readily available. I will administer pain medications and IV fluids as ordered, encourage oral intake by offering warm, clear fluids as tolerated, and keep the patient comfortable (P.Martin,2019).
4. Compare strategies for safe, effective multidimensional nursing practice when providing care for clients with lower respiratory disorders.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) involves two related diseases — chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The patient experiences chronic dyspnea with expiratory airflow limitation that does not significantly fluctuate with COPD.
Nursing care for patients with COPD involves the introduction of a treatment regimen to relieve symptoms and prevent complications. Patients need to develop a teaching plan to help patients comply with the therapy and understand the nature of the disease and ways to prevent exacerbations by keeping the environmental pollution to a minimum, such as dust, smoke, and feather pillows. Teach the patient to demonstrate effective coughing and deep-breathing techniques, the importance of staying physically active, and maintaining a healthy diet (M.Vera,2019)
5. Prioritize nursing care strategies for clients with cardiovascular disorders.
Hypertension is elevated blood pressure exceeding 140 over 90 mmHg. Hypertension patients plan to lower their blood pressure, teach adherence to the therapeutic regimen, lifestyle modifications, and prevent complications (M.Vera,2019).
6. Integrate multidimensional nursing interventions when caring for clients with hematological disorders.
Thrombophlebitis is the inflammation of the vein wall resulting in the formation of thrombosis (blood clot) that may interfere with the normal blood flow through the vessel. Blood clots usually occur in the lower extremities and can travel in the bloodstream, life-threatening because they can cause a pulmonary embolism. The patient may be experiencing anxiety. As a nurse, I will provide brief explanations of what is happening and the expected effects of the medical intervention. I will assist with frequent position changes and encourage ambulation as tolerated (P.Martin,2019).

Multidimensional Nursing Reflection
The NUR2502 consists of topics and concepts that are designed to help learners acquire
knowledge and competencies that can be integrated into their future nursing practice. In this
regard, my reflection on multidimensional nursing care approaches for different conditions that
were taught on this course showed that I have acquired the competencies that can impact my
current and future nursing practice positively. As a result, my ability to identify
multidimensional nursing care strategies for clients with reproductive system orders has
improved greatly. Specifically, I can use the interview process to determine the type of disorder,
request appropriate laboratory exams, and the right treatment according to the results (Markwart
et al., 2020). Hence, I am competent at using the patient intake process to gather accurate
information for treatment planning and implementation.
Furthermore, I consider my improved understanding of the techniques for conducting the
differential diagnosis of different urinary tract infections that are caused by bacteria and fungi as
reflective of my attainment of the second competency for t...
