1) Write the solubility equilibrium & solubility product expression for the following sparingly soluble salts.

CaCO3

Cu2S

Sb2S3

2) The solubility of AgBr @ 25 degrees C is 8.8x10^-7 M what is the Ksp for silver bromide?

Q2)The solubility for silver bromide is 8.8x10–7 M. Determine Ksp. (note: Solubility is defined as the maximum amount of solute that will dissolve in water, such that at equilibrium, there will be no excess solid remaining, so the equilibrium concentration of the salt should be equal to zero)

Ksp = [Ag+ ][ Br– ] = (8.8x10–7 ) 2 = 7.7x10–13
