Results of the cultural diversity assessment.
The score from the cultural diversity assessment was 43. According to the questionnaire,
the aim was to identify the attitudes I have towards member of the out-group. Further, the aim
was to explore how as a leader, the response I have towards members of the out-group. The score
of 43 is categorized as an average score. The average score on this questionnaire indicates that I
have a moderate interest in including members of the out-group. Although I am interested in
including out-group members, I do not make their concerns a priority when executing my
leadership responsibilities. I may even sometimes think that out-group members brought their
out-group behavior upon themselves. However, if these members seek me out, there is a chance I
may work with them when I can. From this interpretation, the average score was a surprise as I
considered myself having the tendency to help members of the out-group feel more included and
become part of the bigger whole group. The average score came as a surprise as I thought I
would have more of a high score.

communication skills are important in the healthcare industry. Cultural diversity skills are useful
for improving patient comfort and their level of satisfaction with healthcare. There are, however,
some areas that need improvement in my personal cultural diversity skills. First, one area that I
will focus on is finding new ways to connect. Trust with a patient is essential in healthcare.
However, building trust can be a challenge when there are issues like language barrier. There are

more strengths that everyone has. One of the ways to challenge myself is to appreciate the
differences others bring to the table and see them from the perspective of drivers of change. The
more the opinions, the more the variety and the more the diversity that all people bring to the
table the more there can be innovation and creativity that is within all of us. For instance, people
who have various communication abilities can be categorized as diverse. Seeking new ways of
understanding the social and cultural factors that have an effect on individual health and
incorporating these factors in care whenever possible will also be crucial. Second, I will strive to
stand up to any forms of discrimination. Ra...
