Description

Using the Project Scope Statement Template provided below, create a project scope statement.

Remember to use your individual project topic when creating the project scope statement. Additionally, the individual project topic must be approved by the instructor.

For the deliverables, make sure to list 3 product deliverables and 3 project deliverables. The product deliverables are work products that the team devises, which contributes to the delivery of the end result. The project deliverables are work products that the project manager must complete in order to keep the project on task.

Please note, there should be at least 5 items identified as "in scope" and at least 5 items identified as "out of scope:. Capturing what is out of scope is just as important as what is in scope. The scope statement must include a technology-related security item, for example:

  • If you are building a data center, then data center security would be in scope.
  • If you are developing an application, then application security would be in scope.
  • If you are installing a network, then network security would be in scope.

The technology-related security item would be 1 of the 5 items identified as "in scope."

For the assumptions and constraints, please list at least 3 items for each. Be sure to look up the definitions in the PMBOK to make sure you understand these terms before submitting your assignment.

Although numerous solutions have been proposed and adopted, green cloud computing stands out because of its ability to transcend the information systems being used and incorporate sustainability practices in the design and development of the facilities used (Ahuja & Muthiah, 2021). The goal of the cloud computing measures adopted by corporations is to reduce the amount of carbon emissions attributable to cloud computing activities, such as data center management and cloud storage. The current power consumption in cloud computing has exceeded the 1% of the world's energy consumption, leading to the emergence of concerns about its efficiency and countermeasures that can be deployed (Stergiou et al., 2018). Embracing green cloud computing ensures that cloud service providers bear some burden in managing their operations and sustaining the environment. Need for Further Research Green cloud computing aims to ensure cloud service providers develop eco-friendly mechanisms to sustain the infrastructure and minimize its impact on the environment and the community. The green cloud environment can guarantee the adoption of energy-efficient and power management standards that minimize their operation's effect on the climate. The green cloud computing framework entails the implementation of policies and standards and the deployment of monitoring tools that allow stakeholders to evaluate the effect of cloud operations on the planet. The cloud service providers seeking to realize green computing must ensure they refine the underlying architecture to encompass authenticated modules that allow for the evaluation of cloud infrastructure and certify the operations as environment-friendly (Ahuja & Muthiah, 2021). Green cloud computing can enable an organization to sustain its competitive advantage because it ensures efficient resource utilization and bolsters competitiveness by minimizing environmental impact. Hypothesis The paper will seek to examine: What mechanisms can achieve green cloud computing through virtualization and innovative practices? Rationale and Significance Investing in sustainable operations enables companies to achieve new commitments, such as reduced carbon footprint and innovations. Although businesses have conventionally leveraged the cloud to achieve security, cost reduction, and agility, sustainability has become an integral concern that they must address. Moving operations to the cloud can help an enterprise reduce its carbon emission by 59 million tons each year, making it crucial for business stakeholders to rethink the cloud computing framework (Stergiou et al., 2018). However, the widespread implementation of cloud services must be complemented by the adoption of green computing, ensuring the effectiveness of the cloud data storage and management in the environment is minimal. The ability of firms embracing green cloud computing to become sustainable can increase their attractiveness because they are perceived as radical and innovative. For instance, green computing motivates stakeholders to invest in innovation to develop radical solutions to the problems they face. References Ahuja, S. P., & Muthiah, K. (2021).
