Introduction
Bipolar disorder is a severe mental health issue that causes unjustifiable mood swings in
victims. Symptoms of the bipolar condition include mania and hypomania, sadness, lack of
energy, and low self-esteem. The bipolar condition causes risk factors such as suicidal thoughts
and substance abuse to victims. This consideration marks why bipolar illness is detrimental to
health and accounts for the need for immediate care. Early intervention prevents adverse
challenges related to this disease and improves the health standards of the victims. There are two
types of bipolar condition, where type II condition is more severe than type I. Patients suffering
from type II face higher depression chances, marking why this condition is detrimental. Health
workers can implement several interventions to remedy the bipolar condition.
Psychopharmacology and psychotherapy interventions, such as using lithium carbonate
stabilizers, serve as the most optimal remedies for this disorder. This paper describes an
annotated bibliography on the bipolar disorder to depict various concepts related to the topic.

bipolar depression is a critical condition that primarily affects the African population and marks
it a sixth cause of disability globally. Essentially, this piece reveals more misdiagnosis cases
