So you are given 22.6/94.11=0.24 mole of phenol and 492/46.07=10.68 mole of ethanol. a) Mole fraction of phenol is 0.24/(0.24+10.68)=0.022. b) Mass percent of phenol is 22.6/(22.6+492)*100%=0.044*100%=4.4%. с) molality of phenol (solute) in ethanol (soluvent) is 0.24/492=0.000488 mole per kilogram (mol/kg). Be careful, this is molality (not molarity)!
