Using Assignments to Influence LoC and Self Efficacy Paper
Using Assignments to Influence Self-Efficacy and Locus of ControlClass assignments may serve several purposes: They give students the opportunity to learn new skills, explore specific issues in more depth, and be creative in making links between concepts. An additional purpose may be to help develop specific personality or character attributes in the students. If you find that students are apprehensive about your course, or they have not been succeeding with recent assignments, how might you change your approach to increase your students' self-efficacy? How might you respond to students with an external locus of control who express feelings of powerlessness to improve their performance in class? For this Discussion, review and study this week’s Learning Resources. Consider how self-efficacy is related to the concept of locus of control. Then think of an assignment that you might design for an introductory psychology class that might increase student self-efficacy. Finally, reflect on how the design of your assignment might change based on the two types of locus of control.Post a description of how self-efficacy is related to the concept of locus of control. PAD 345 SNHU Evidence Based Management Annotated Bibliography
Overview: Successful professionals need solid self-assessment and metacognitive skills. Approach this annotated bibliography assignment as an opportunity to reflect upon your progress toward mastery of the course competencies and to share your perspective and expertise gained from past educational and professional experiences. The goal of an annotated bibliography is to assist you in refining your information literacy while engaging you in the act of being a subject matter expert. You should begin your research with the Shapiro Library Research Guide. You are also welcome to do conventional web searches, with the expectation that you will pay careful attention to the credibility of site authors and the appropriateness of site content for an academic audience. Prompt: For this assignment, you will be conducting research supporting your first competency project. Specifically, you should find credible sources of information to inform your evaluation and recommendations related to the case study you selected in your Module One Graphic Organizer assignment. For example, if you had selected a case documenting the process for developing and enacting an immigration policy, you would want to be well-versed in the relevant statistics, studies, and data related to immigration to inform your evaluation of that case. The following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Create an introductory paragraph describing the importance of evidence-based management.
II. Research three (3) current, evidence-based, peer-reviewed articles. For each article, compose a paragraph that includes: A. Location of data: Where is the data is coming from (agency, organization, etc.)? B. Summary of data: What important data or information is included? C. Citation: Properly cite the article using APA format.
III. Create a closing paragraph in which you identify in which of the six stages of the policy development model this data would be most useful. This could be more than one stage.

Indiana University Bloomington offers on online certification to familiarize individuals with plagiarism. Follow the link above, read the links then take the quiz to earn your certification. Once you earn your certification, take a screen shot of the certification or the email they send then upload that picture to Canvas for credit. Each randomly selected question on a test provides source material from another author and a sample of student writing. The test taker must determine whether the student version is word-for-word plagiarism, paraphrasing plagiarism, or not plagiarism. Many questions exemplify subtle forms of plagiarism which represent incomplete or incorrect understanding of plagiarism, carelessness, or attempts to disguise actual plagiarism.Unlike classroom tests you have taken in school, Certification Tests do not provide specific feedback on questions answered incorrectly. This is done on purpose to make it harder to cheat by simply memorizing answers to questions. After the test, you will receive a general description of some kinds of misunderstandings you may have.If you take several tests, and do not pass, the outcome is very unlikely to change until you learn more about plagiarism.Learn more through instruction on how to recognize plagiarism (Links to an external site.). You can view examples (Links to an external site.) of different kinds of plagiarism with explanations.Practice how to recognize plagiarism (Links to an external site.) with specific feedback on why your answers are right or wrong. This may be either plot or characterization: in other words, what’s similar and/or different about what happens or how people behave? You’re advised to read the Mark Fiore summary first (long version, preferably) to give you a complete grounding in the poem before beginning your paper. 1000 words,12-pt.
