 Why do marketing researchers use objective, rather than subjective, measures of social class?

The objective method gives the researcher a chance to rank people according income, profession, and status. The researcher use their view about the people’s status while in subjective method, individuals are requested to define their social class and they may claim that all people are equal when they are not.
