Do these possibly refer to flipping a coin and rolling a dice? (Be sure to include the full question when posting here).

a) P( tails AND 4 ) = P(tails) x P(4) 

= 1/2 x 1/6

= 1/12


b) P( tails OR 4 ) = 1 - P(not tails AND not 4)

= 1 - P(heads) x P(not 4)

= 1 - 1/2 x 5/6

= 7/12


c) P( tails AND 2 ) = P(tails) x P(2) 

= 1/2 x 1/6

= 1/12
