Abstract
In recent years’research, has shown that psychological disordersimpact cognitive
development. Dementia has various forms of cognitive impairment whichare a dopamine
deficiency (Parkinson’s disease), and a neurodegenerative disease (Alzheimer’s).Cognitive
development is the growth in intellectual capabilities which in turn influence a person’s
behavior. Data has been gathered on dementia since researches have become aware of its effect
on humans.Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease are varying forms of dementia that affect
patients. The effect that dementia has on the parts of the brain that store, encode, and retrieve
memories is shown in photographs taken of a healthy brain and a brain with dementia. Data
collected by researchers theorize that changes in calcium regulation across the neurons is due to
ageing which causes of the varying forms of dementia that plague civilization. The analyzation
of dementia and its effect on cognitive development can advance the understanding of how and
why dementia targets its carriers.
