Human resource development
Question One
Organizations have various needs that should get fulfilled in the course of human
resource activities. In this case, a company needs to have well-trained employees with the ability
to handle various situations that affect the business operations. On the other hand, businesses
have training programs for their employees that make them equipped with the best skills to
handle the provision of goods and services to the customers (Werner, Jon, 2017). However,
before embarking on a training program, every organization should perform a needs assessment
task which will explain the current situation and the expected. In this case, the current
organizational culture may not enable an organization to meet the goals and objectives. As a
result, needs assessment will help an organization to develop the right training programs that will
enable the employees to have the right skills and abilities to perform organization activities.
An effective HRD program will cater for the needs of an organization regarding the
capabilities of the employees. In this case, the human resource department has the responsibility
of looking into the goals and objectives of a firm and aligns its program towards their
achievement. Therefore, the use of the needs assessment enables the management of an
organization to address the organizational behavior and organizational culture in ensuring that
the employees have the right working environment (Werner & DeSimone, 2006). The
development of the HRD program will depend on its ability to cater to the needs of the
organization and provide results in the long run. As a result, the use of needs assessment will
help organizations in having the right programs that will assist the human resource function in
