Introduction
Reading and writing is important because it forms the basic foundation of communication
in the current literate world (Bomer & Bomer, 2001). Needless to say, not only is reading and
writing important in passing across information to other people but also for internal intra-person
communication with one’s self. Reading and writing became an intricate part of my personal
growth and development process. I started writing journals while I was very young and
documenting my wishes, goals and experiences. Currently looking back at those journals I am
able to identify the areas I have developed as a person and those that I need to further work on. I
would write something down then I would read it out loud and give life to it and then work hard
and watch it come to pass.
