Then, you’ll take another look at that conclusion from the perspective of one of the major sociological theories. Literature Review
The article focuses on the narrowing but very persistent gender gap in pay. It looks at the gender
gap in pay and how it has decreased overtime since 1980. It touches on how young women, at
the age 25-34 have a smaller gap in payments compared the older women. Yet the gap is still
persistent. The article looks at the difference in earning of both men and women. It aligns
reasons why and the factors that lead to this persistent gap in women’s wages and if
discrimination is a major factor contributing to the gap.

What were the key findings and conclusion of the research?
The findings of the research determined the gender gap in pay has narrowed since 1980. The
findings show that in 2015, 83% of what men earned was earned by women. This was according
to the analysis of hourly earnings of both full and part-time workers in the country. The
