How is probability of an event determined?

Answer : probability of an event is the measure of the chance that the event will occur as a result of an experiment. P(event)=number of ways a particular event can happen / Total  number of events that can happen

E.g: event is getting 1 on a dice. total number of events =6 (we can get any one of 1,2,3,4,5,6). So probability of getting 1 is 1/6

It can be used to predict future events as we can predict the chances of a  particular event happening. based on the above example i can say that if i throw a dice, the probability of getting 1 is 1/6....
