Facebook Inc. which is now also known as Meta Inc. is a technology firm that creates
tools that allow users to interact and share media with their friends and family, such as photos,
messages, and videos. This is accomplished through various channels, including mobile devices,
personal computers, and in-home devices with application capabilities. Facebook, Instagram,
Messenger, and WhatsApp are among the company's products. Facebook, Inc. is based in Menlo
Park, California, and founded in 2004 (Tien et al.). As of March 2021, it had over 2.5 billion
users on its platforms. Mark Zuckerberg co-founded the company while still a Harvard
University student. As of 2020, Facebook Inc has over 60,000 employees and annual revenue of
$85.97 billion ("Facebook: Annual Revenue | Statista"). "People use Facebook to remain
connected with friends and family, learn about what's going on in the world, and share and
express what matters to them," according to the Facebook vision statement. "Give people the
capacity to form community and bring the globe closer together," says Facebook's corporate
