Ronald Reagan deregulated in the eighties.
During the era of Ronald Reagan, he had the objective to increase the growth of the US
economy. He believed that the increased growth of the government led to a reduced
economic growth rate. One of the methods he employed to ensure he achieved his objective
was to use deregulation. Deregulation is basically removing government restrictions and
allowing more freedom. He did this especially to the entities that belonged to the private
sector. The first sector was the business sector. He believed that most of the decade long
restrictions prevented businesses from doing better (Troy, 2013). He thus eased regulations to
do with monopolization of telecommunication companies. This way, competition, and
