1. Why Adopt the JIT Model
JIT is an approach employed by producers to enhance adeptness and diminish waste by
receiving materials just as they are necessitated in the production procedure, thus lowering
inventory overheads. Companies should accurately anticipate their necessities as per the model.
The model eradicates the waste of excess manufacturing, awaiting provisions, and stockpiling
extra stock. Toyota's designer emanated up with the initial notion where JiT approach denotes
that a supply produces whatever is desired, once it is requested, and in quantity mandated (Talib
et al., 2020). Our paper will focus on three aspects. It will look at why firms embraced Lean
Thinking and the JIT paradigm, the primary sources of waste that businesses must consider
throughout manufacturing, and lastly, the rationale for employing lean thinking by considering
the advantages that end-users receive from vendors.
Many organizations, in my opinion, are embracing Lean Thinking and the JIT model to
manufacture their products with the least amount of waste possible, increasing Production only
as needed, and recycling and reusing materials where possible. This allows both suppliers and
end-users to benefit from the cost savings associated with holding inventories while still
fulfilling the demand for the offered product. More companies are seeking to establish this
method of operating during the present Covid 19 problem. For example, our hospitals and clinics
have a significant demand for cleaning supplies and protective masks (Singh et al., 2013). Firms
apply JIT for the aforementioned main purpose that is smooth overall production. A
homogeneous procedure is one of the fundamental features of the JIT system. From the time
materials arrive from the vendor to the time the goods are delivered to clients.
By eliminating redundant practi...
