June has a set of folding chairs for her flute students. If she arranged them in 5 rows for a recital, she has 2 chairs left over. If she arranges them in 3 rows o the same length, she has 14 left over. How many chairs does she have left.
Let us assume she has total x chairs. . & each row she is arranging y chairs.
hence 5 rows of y chair= x-2
or we get 5y+2 =x .......1
or x =3y+14... .......2
Eq 1 &2 we get
Put y=6 in eq 1 we get
x= 5*6+2 =32
hence she has totally 32 chairs.
