So we know that P(event) is the number of desired outcomes divided by the number of total outcomes.

For part 1: it is desired that we select a prime number between 1 and 20.
How many prime numbers exist between 1 and 20?

1,2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19  so that is 9 prime numbers.
what is the total number of numbers between 1 and 20?
20 numbers total
so now we divide:
9/20 = 0.45

For part 2: the compliment is:
1 - 0.45 = 0.55
