Students must also understand that P(A or B)=P(B or A) and that P(A and B)=P(B and A).
Part (d) is a variant of part c). Students must apply the Addition Rule, P(A or B)=P(A)+P(B)−P(A and B), and solve the equation for the unknown quantity.
