f(x)=x^2-6x

axis of symmetry is x= -b/2a= -(-6)/(2*1)

we get x=3 is the axis of symmetry..........................................................please best me

That says it is wrong. I applied the same formula to g(x) = x2 − 8x and it does not work for that either. Is it possible the problem is asking for something else?

no that is the correct answer, I have even plotted that graph and proved it graphically...

the correct line of symmetry is x=3
