since the ball is thrown upwards hence the speed of ball will keep on decreaseing with respect to time !!
maximum speed of ball is at t = 0 sec

let us differenciate we get ; ds/dt = V = -32t+96

at t = 0 speed = 96 ft/sec (maximum speed)
