Area of recatngle  = length*width = 8*6 = 48cm^2

if length is doubled i.e 2* length = 2*8 = 16cm

and width is tripled. i.e 3*breadth = 3*6 = 18 cm

Now new area is = new_length * new_width = 16*18 = 288cm^2

now divide the new area by old area = 288/48 = 6

So the new area will be six times larger than the original area
