Hello, 

the perimeter of the square is 4 times the length of one side. If the perimeter is 20a, then divide that by 4 to get 5a.

Now that we know the length of the sides, we can find the area. 

to find the area, you would multiply length times width, which would be 5a* 5a= 25a^2
