P(R)=Probability if selecting red card=26/52

P(F)=Probability of selecting face card=12/52

P(R|F)=Probabilty if selecting red card given face card=6/12=0.5

Here we know that we have face card(i.e. denominator variable)


P(F|R)=probabilty of selecting face card given red card,here we know we have red card

         =6/26=0.23

Another formula for finding conditional independence is 

P(A|B)=P(A and B)/P(B)

     If P(A|B)=P(A and B)/P(B) -->independent events

eg P(R)=P(R|F)=0.5

  If P(A|B)!=P(Aand B)/P(B) --> dependent events

eg P(S)!=P(S|B) hence they are dependent events.
