What creates "the disproportionate distribution of wealth and poverty"? Can this
distribution be better equalized?
There are various reasons or factors why there is an unequal or disproportionate distribution
of wealth and poverty in the world. One of the reasons is the urban-rural gap. In most cases, a
good percentage of the people living in poverty reside in the rural areas. The middle and upper
class of people usually reside in the urban areas. On this note, the poor will try and move into the
urban areas to seek for jobs that pay better. Over-time, the middle either falls into the lower or
upper class based on the income earning capacity. The gap widens, bringing inequality.
