An Analysis of the first post
The first post mentions communication as an important concept in every project
undertaking. Moreover, the author acknowledges that failure to involve all management team
members and other stakeholders in decision making during the space launch was also a major
mistake. This statement is true as validated by Adamson (2006), who argues that while the
management team may always have the responsibility of making major decisions such as that
which allowed for the launching of space sheep, it is important to seek the help of other staff
with technical knowledge to provide vital information upon which the accuracy and
appropriateness of their decisions are based. However, the author could have outlined the
communication system used in the project to enable readers know whether the decision to bypass
the technical team while deliberation on the launch was legitimate.
Secondly, the post argues that the project seemed to have been rushed without the
stakeholders taking time to analyses the issues at hand. This statement is true as validated by
Baxter (2014) who argues that the board members were in such a hurry to ratify the launch so
much so that when they could not agree, they simply decided to take a vote and the majority
won. However, the author could have included an analysis of why the voting system was not the
best way to make the decision.
