For this assignment; the student will identify potential ethical implications surrounding the decision, and how this may impact the decision-making process. From there, corporate social responsibility will be explained and how it can impact the outcome of decision-making for an organization.
Assignment Steps
Identify a business in your local community. This can be your current place of employment or a business with which you are familiar.
Develop a 1,050-1,100 word examination of the ethics and social responsibility practices within the organization.
Include the following in your examination:
- Select a business decision within the organization.
- Identify the potential ethical implications associated with this decision.
- Determine the effect this may have on the decision making process.
- Identify how the organization applies corporate social responsibility to the business.

Ethics are values, standards, ideals, or virtues that govern a person's behavior or the
conducting of an activity. Ethics are vital in an individual's life as the conduct of individual is
based on the ethics and the values that are learned from the environment (Tuan, 2012). The
decision-making is also important as the decision making skill help one to come up with ideal
decisions in an organization or in personnel life. Social responsibility is an essential supporting
tool that suggests that an organization or an individual has a duty to act for the benefit of the
society at large. Social responsibility involves developing businesses with a positive relationship
to the society in which they operate.
A business in the local community is honey processing. This business has fitted in the
local community because the place is arid. According to research, the best honey comes from
local areas because there are bees in those environments which feed on local flowers to make the
best local tasting honey. The habitat of the bees is locally available in the area since the area is
heavily forested bringing about the availability of beehives.
Honey has been used for years and years due to its health benefits. For example, honey is
the best source of carbohydrates which provide energy to peoples' bodies. It has a healing nature
as in it is good for sore throats, used as a preservative and morning sicknesses. It also sweet and
natural than the table sugar.
