Make a proportion 2 cm / 3 m = 30 cm / x m, where x is the actual length of a room.

x = 3*30 / 2 = 45 m

Hey thnx for the hint but what do i do after the proportion?

Mar 24th, 2015

Solve it by cross-multiplication. For example,    2          6

                                                                          ----   =  -----

                                                                            4         x

gives 2 times x = 4 times 6, so 2x = 24. Then x = 12.
