have been missing in the discipline. However, of recent, many scholars have put their focus on
African studies, not just to understand their origin or culture, but to also recognize their
contributions in the histories of various parts of the world.
Today, African studies have become core to understand the history of the world. The
recognition of African traditions, culture, and history has been able to help the world understand
Africans and their contributions in different fields. However, it is also critical to comprehend the
origin and foundations of African studies through their struggle for recognition.
