how to solve for turning points in a quadratic equation?

Mar 26th, 2015

The turning point is at the VERTX.  The x value of the vertex is given by

-b/2a.  After you find the x value, you can plug that into the quadratic equation to find the y value.

The x and y values are the coordinates of the turning point.
