Each of the six triangles is equilateral 

Area of an equilateral triangle = √3/4 * a2

Hence the area of the hexagon = 6√3/4 * a2 =3√3/2 * a2

Area of the first triangle = ½ * b* h

Area of the second triangle = ½ * b* 2h

Ratio of the triangles = 1:2
