If you had to help someone spot “fake news,” what would you tell them? Choose a news article from a reputable media outlet and compare it to an online story that you know is fake. Using the checklist provided on the factcheck web site, compare the two. Although fake news is not new, it seems harder to distinguish and more accepted now. Why? How will this acceptance of fake news impact our democracy?

True story
On 2nd August, as reporters were asking president Donald Trump questions about
sanctions on Russia, the white house press secretary read a letter to the president from Frank
Giaccio, a ten-year-old boy who wanted to mow the Whitehouse lawn. The boy ran a
neighborhood lawn care business and said he admired the president’s business empire. The boy
got his request and was invited to the Whitehouse and carried safety goggles, earplugs, and
safety gloves and set out to the white house. The boy went on to do his duty and was so focused
such that he did not notice when Trump emerged to check out his work. The president said that
the boy was the real future of the country (Moyor, 2017). His father said that after the exposure,
it was a good idea to reach out to other high-profile customers ...

Only issue was the guy's response time which was a bit long, which made me a bit anxious. Reached out to the help desk and they helped me out, turns out the tutors aren't all from US which meant there was a time difference. No issues on the quality.
