Pressure ulcer indications include:
Some part of the skin discolors: people with fair skin have red blotches, while those
with dark skin get purple or blue patches.
Discoloration areas don't really turn white when compressed.
An area of skin that is affected is often that is warm, spongy, or hardened.
There is higher level of itching or soreness in the affected area (Mervis & Phillips,
