Job should be redesigned to fit the standards that employees are comfortable with. The
jobs are also redesigned to enhance the quality of work-life. This is because employees are
happy when working in an environment that is favourable to them. Once a job has been
redesigned to satisfy work-life balance, the employees’ overall performance increases as they
feel motivated to carry on their duties. Redesigning of the job is also done to improve on-thejob productivity since a new design of job encourages employees to perform better if the design
meets their preferences (Robbins, S. & Judge, n.d).
