how do you multiply 4 2/7 and 1 3/10. i do not understand how to multiply the whole numbers with the fractions please help

4,2/7 * 1,3/10

first you make them a single fraction then u multiply

making then single fraction 4,2/7=4*7+2=30/7 then 1,3/10=1*10+3=13/10

multiply the numerator with another numerator then denominator with denominator

hence 30/7*13/10=390/70=39/7=5,4/7

answer is 5 4/7

thank you so much

y-3/13=-2/13

would this go y+2/13-2/13= -2/13=3/13

y=1/13

YES THAT IS THE ANSWER

thank you one last question please

x/3 +2=7/3

x/3 + 2 =7/3

x/3=7/3 - 2

x/3=7/3 - 2/1

x/3=1/3

x=1

i dont understand how you get 1

could i do it x/3 + (2/1)3= 7/3

x/3 + 6/3= 7/3x/3= 7/3 - 6/3 x/3 = 1/3

x/3 + 6/3= 7/3

x/3= 7/3 - 6/3

x/3 = 1/3

your answer cross multiply you get 3x=3 divide by 3 both sides x=3

thank you
