Introduction
The procedure of creating an information system along the activities of project
management in an organization is paramount. An information system is a planned system for
collecting, organizing, storing and communicating information in a company. Precisely, it is the
science of complementary networks that individuals and organizations utilize to collect and
establish, filter, process and disseminate data. On the other side, project management is the
procedure of making sure that the newly formulated information system and the current ones are
productive to the firm and support the overall business goals as planned. The incorporation of the
two procedures results in the successful establishment of the information system. This essay will
review two articles that discuss the impacts of IS on the process of project management. It is
essential to understand whether a strategic alignment of organizational and business strategies
with the information systems exist and the feasibility of these systems in achieving business
objectives and goals.
