it may or may not, this is highly dependent on the parenting skills of meeting their needs prior, during, and post temperament. If the parents are not meeting the needs during the temperament, than yes, it can aid in shaping their psychological development. If the parents are fulfilling their needs, then the temperament would most likely shape the way they gain attention, yet, without limiting the cognitive process.
