how to show work f(x)=-x2=2x

Mar 31st, 2015

I think you want to find the derivative, then

f(x) = - x^2

then by derivative definition, then derivative of x^n is nx^n-1, then

f ' (x) = - 2x^2-1

f ' (x) = - 2x^1

f ' (x) = - 2x

Hence the derivative is - 2x.

If you don't want it, then please post the problem correctly and with full specification. thanks
