Since the radius of a string is changed very slowly, the speed will increase. Since angular momentum will not change and torque with respect to the rotation center is zero, L = m*v*r will be constant of the motion, so the product of v and r is L/m, so r and v will be inversely proportional, and the speed will increase by 2.
