120 is the number of books on the shelf if Aubrey read exactly 1/4 of the mysteries ( but in the problem it says she read less than 1/4)

150 is the number of books on the shelf if Aubrey read exactly 1/5 of the mysteries (but in the problem it states she read more than 1/5)

142 is not divisible by 3, so ignore,

only 147 is divisible by 3 and fit the problem.
