Introduction
During the 16th and the 17th centuries, most of the nations that were in Europe were eager
to continue colonizing the states which consisted of the newly found Americans. England is one
of the European nations that sent out different groups to the eastern coast to continue colonizing
states and the two parts that this nation focused on were Chesapeake and New England. At the
end of colonization, both Chesapeake and New England joined to become one nation. However,
both of these two nations were very much different before they joined together. These two
nations were both different in different aspects such as their political, social and economic
history. The uniqueness of these two nations is what led to them to be colonized.
The difference between the economic history of Chesapeake and New England
Chesapeake was very much different when compared to New England in an economic
dimension. Chesapeake had a big land coverage when compared to the lands in New England.
The land of Chesapeake was swampy and hence could not be used for farming activities.
