H+ + H2O + MnO4- + SO2 ----> Mn2+ HSO4-
From the equation it looks that Mn is reduced in the product and H & S is Oxidized because there are oxygen molecules combined with them.
Thank you, I was pretty certain on Mn but had difficulty with H & S for some reason, I couldn't get HSO4- to come out to -1 when adding/subtracting the oxidation numbers.
