OSHA standards have been the regulating and maintaining high standards of construction
by reducing the number of accident and injuries experienced by workers during building works.
In the year 2014, some cited construction penalties were reported by OSHA during the NSC
Congress Expo together with Safety Health magazine. The most frequently cited standard was
the Fall Protection in Construction (1926.501), and Scaffolding in Construction (1926.451) and
the largest Total penalty was passed was for fall protection in Construction citation (Seong,
