a) sample 1, using "2": 2, 3; sum=5; mean=2.5

                                 2, 5; sum=7; mean=3.5

                                 2, 5; sum=7; mean=3.5

                                 2, 7; sum=9; mean=3

sample 2, using "3"

sample 3, using first "5"

sample 4, using second "5"

sample 5, using "7"

b) sample mean=(2.5+3.5+3.5+3+2.5+4+4+5+3.5+4+4+6+3.5+4+4+6+4.5+5+6+6)/20=4.2

population mean=(2+3+5+5+7)/5=4.4

Compare the sample mean and the population mean, they are approximately the same.

I dont understand  there is 10 samples not 5

Apr 4th, 2015

well it should be 5, you sure they are not letting you to choose how many sample size (lines) to fill out?
