Question description

Biofuels

Biofuels are an alternative source for energy and fuel and can come from many sources including algae, peanuts and even corn. Not only do fossil fuels such as oil contribute a significant volume of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but they are finite and are not sustainable. As such, there has been a growing demand for the implementation of biofuels.

Choose one biofuel source and conduct a main post that discusses your selected biofueld source and the organic compound that it produces.

  • Discuss some of the reactions involved that turn the source’s compound into a biofuel.

Discuss the environmental effects associated with converting this compound into a biofuel.
