for the Urban Institute which is a non-profit research organization whose goal is to provide data to
help advance upward mobility and equities in communities (Urban Institute, n.d.). Urban Institue
is considered a trustworthy source for changemakers who are seeking to strengthen and reinforce
their decision-making skills, create inclusive economic growth, and increase the quality of living
and well-being of communities and families.

The interview with Lacy was focused on her career, interests, pursuits, and her contribution
to her chosen community. Lacy’s interest is focused on public health, particularly reproductive
health education and promotion, maternal health, STI/HIV prevention, health communications,
racial and gender health disparities, curriculum development, and program planning and
evaluation. She is especially interested in community-centered programs tailored toward Black
