What is the difference between dependent and independent probabilities??

Oct 17th, 2017

Independent probability is the probability of an independent event.  For example, tossing a coin.  Here each tossing is independent of another toss.

Dependent probability refers to probability of dependent events.  For example, if you are looking art four cards in you hand and one of them is an ace. Now the probability of being dealt an ace one more time is dependent on the first ace is dependent on the first probability of getting an ace.
