RHS

=cot²(x)- cos²(x)
= cos²(x)/sin²(x) - cos²(x)
= (cos²(x) - cos²(x)sin²(x))/sin²(x)
= cos²(x)(1 - sin²(x))/sin²(x)
= cos²(x) * cos²(x)/sin²(x)
= cos²(x)cot²(x)
= LHS...................

RHS=LHS....................hence proved
