Assignment: Safety and Agency Responsibility When you walk into a human services organization, do you think about your safety? What about when you prepare to make a home visit or attend a meeting in the community? As a social worker, you may find yourself in situations in which your personal safety is at risk. Although you, as an administrator, cannot prepare for every situation, you should be proactive and put a plan into place to address issues related to workplace violence in the event that it occurs. For this Assignment, focus on the Zelnick et al. article (attached) on workplace violence and consider what plan you might want to have in place if you were an administrator having to address a similar workplace violence situation. Assignment (2 pages in APA format): Draft a plan for a human services organization explaining how to address traumatic emergency situations Include both how to respond to the emergency and how to address any long-term effects. Finally, based on this week resources and your personal experiences, explain your greatest concern about the safety of mental health professionals working in a human services organization. Soooooo, this week we focused on executing leadership skills while under pressure. Below was my response to this week’s case study which involved a program coordinator discovering one of her staff was murdered the night before and did not show up to work that morning. The coordinator then had to break the news to all the staff and the clients. This week’s discussion I am presuming is set up to answer the assignment. That was my understanding. Let me know if you have any other questions. Be sure to include an analysis of the administrator's use of conflict resolution skills. The program coordinator (PC) in this case study was proactive and prompt with the problem at hand. Although the PC was out of the office the PC devised a plan to prevent chaos. The PC communicated with the receptionist and provided clear directions on what to do including alternate solutions. According to Northouse (2021), it takes thought and skill to provide clear directions and adapt to the individual's need for direction style. The PC demonstrated a critical understanding of the client's needs, offering good directions to the receptionist to offer suggestions to the client who was waiting for Carla. The PC provided specific instructions for the receptionist to complete and relay. This helped the receptionist understand their task at the moment, and could accomplish the task effortlessly. Finally, identify one aspect of the case study that would be most challenging to you if you were the administrator, and explain why. The most challenging aspect of this case would be informing Carla’s clients of the situation and having to witness each reaction while trying to withhold my emotions. Although self-regulating my emotions come easy, to see another person become emotional for reasons revolving around death is difficult to muster. Reference: Northouse, P. G. (2021). (2013) claim that sexual harassment is an instance of workplace violence. Sexual harassment is a
kind of sex discrimination that has a negative impact on the workplace, hinders gender equality,
leads to discriminatory hiring practices, and is harmful to employees' dignity and well-being

productivity, poor employee morale, and staff turnover. It causes psychological discomfort and
stress for victims. We are all aware of the most typical types of workplace sexual harassment,
